Raptor roping p.5

    Paul and Norman looked down at the creature, it was slashing about uselessly. It’s fore limbs were last to be restrained, but they weren’t hard to restrain when everything else had been taken care of. It‘s four limbs were tied together into a hogtie. It was angry but excepted that it was inevitable. It took about an hour for Charles to arrive. He didn’t know exactly where they were but the loud noises coming from the confrontation was signal enough for him. The cart wasn’t very complex. It was a board on top of a wheel axle with a few metal loops on it to anchor things. The cart was actually commonly used to transport a large  number of miscellaneous things, using a tarp, rope, etc to hold them down. In this case they were going to use it to transport the predator, who was quiet by this point, only giving glares and occasionally jerking at them, not that it got anywhere doing that but it tried.
    They lifted the animal up and put it onto the cart. Raptors weren’t large predators by comparison with some of the other predatory creatures running around but compared to a human they were still a large creature. This particular one required two guys to get it off the ground. It put on the cart and they got a set of ropes form the cart and tied it down to the cart. Nobody wanted to be to close to it, even with it in restraints. So they weren’t very careful about the ropes, just strapped it down until it couldn’t move in any way, although the tail tip lay off the cart and it’s head was able to raise some anyway. They didn’t care that much since it couldn’t move much anyway, and it wasn’t about to fall off the cart either. They went ahead and took it anyway. Charles said they didn’t have a tarp for it, so Norman decided that they wouldn’t take it in one session. He knew of an Oasis along the way. They were gonna stop there when they got to it and keep the thing happy, well as happy as it could be. Mostly because it wasn’t resisting much but it would be in the hot sun when it came up so they’d take it there and keep it cool and hydrated there before moving on at night fall.
    They transported it, it reached the Oasis a little after sun rise. The animal was annoyed and getting tired of the restraints but couldn’t do anything about it. They got to the Oasis and let it off, keeping it under control but allowed it to stretch a bit and drink and such. It was managed closely as they waited for the sun to go down and would be kept in restraints and under control. When the sun went down, it was put back on the cart and taken away. They would reach their destination in a few hours.

So here be this, been waiting for this I'm sure, the thing fully restrained. I think ti turned out very good and it is probably my favorite of the raptor roper pages. I had some trouble writing the story part for this one but the picture was not. Hope you guys enjoy.
